NDUGA - In a heartfelt display of unity and camaraderie, the soldiers of Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 503/Mayangkara Kostrad under the HABEMA Operational Command Units conducted a Social Communication (Komsos) activity with the residents of Alguru Village in Nduga Regency, Papua Highlands Province, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. This initiative, part of their Border Security Operation along the RI-PNG border, highlighted the TNI's dedication to fostering strong relationships with local communities.
During the security patrol, the soldiers invited residents to stop by their post for direct interaction and meaningful dialogue. Under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Ahmad Basir, the task force emphasized the importance of building harmonious relationships with all layers of society in their operational area.
One of the highlights of the activity was a communal dining session, where soldiers and villagers shared meals together. This gesture of togetherness was met with joy and gratitude, transforming a routine day into a memorable moment. The warm hospitality of the soldiers and the genuine smiles of the villagers created an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity.
Roni Sondegau, one of the residents, expressed his heartfelt appreciation, saying, “Thank you, Commander 503. God bless you.” This simple yet meaningful statement reflected the deep impact of the soldiers' presence and kindness.
Commander HABEMA, Brigadier General TNI Lucky Avianto, praised the initiative, stating, “The communal dining and Social Communication activities conducted by Satgas Yonif 503 Kostrad are a testament to the TNI's commitment to inclusivity and partnership with the local community. These efforts play a critical role in fostering unity, peace, and supporting development acceleration in Papua.”
